Pokemon Sleep

Niantic, the developers behind the famous Augmented Reality game Pokemon Go, have partnered with Japanese developer Select Button to develop a new game that turns sleeping into entertainment. In order to use sleep-related features, the game tracks the length of time the user sleeps, using the accelerometer of the external Poké Ball Plus accessory, and transmits the data via Bluetooth to the user’s mobile device. While the specifics of the gameplay have not been revealed, it was scheduled for a 2020 release, which has been postponed. The unique mechanics of this game make it one of the most highly anticipated upcoming mobile games.

Roller Champions

The upcoming free-to-play multiplayer skating game Roller Champions will be available on mobile devices from Ubisoft. At E3 2019, the game saw two teams of three skate around a velodrome vying for possession of the ball by tackling, dodging, passing, and otherwise acting as skaters shouldn’t. Vive le Football

NetEase Games announced their first solely developed competitive football game titled Vive le Football in January 2021. The FIFPro License gives Vive le Football access to real licensed players from all over the world. A motion-captured player motion is used to simulate player motions in-game, making them as accurate as possible. Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis

A chapter-structured single-player title called Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis has also been announced for 2021 by Square Enix Co. Ltd. A MOBA themed Auto Chess game is being developed by Dragon Nest based on the Auto Chess universe with all Auto Chess characters becoming heroes. This game features all heroes for free, which is one of the biggest draws! MOBA games on mobile will not be the same as Auto Chess. In order to purchase heroes and expand their champion pool, players would need to grind gold or whatever currency is required. But the announced game will release all heroes for free and allow them better flexibility in their champion selection. The game is much more user-friendly for new players than traditional MOBAs. How competitive is Auto Chess MOBA compared to LOL Wild Rift? As soon as it’s released, we’ll know!
